As of March 2026, the loan outstanding across aspirational districts stood at ₹50,739 crore, accounting for 15% of the total microfinance sector portfolio. On a year-on-year basis, the portfolio contracted by 7% from ₹54,724 crore in March 2025, demonstrating greater resilience than the broader sector, which registered a decline of 11% over the same period. Also, channelling ₹50,739 Cr. (15% of the sector loan outstanding) into 112 Aspirational Districts directly supports targeted poverty alleviation and bridges regional credit disparities.
