Self – Regulatory Organisation (SRO) – Monitoring the Industry, Implementing Best Practices

Sa-Dhan has been recognised by the RBI as a Self – Regulatory Organisation (SRO) for the microfinance sector in the year 2015 to administer industry regulations, tools and performance standards for effective monitoring of MFIs, their compliance with regulations and Code of Conduct in the best interest of clients. As an SRO, Sa-Dhan has been at the forefront to formulate and administer industry regulations, tools and performance standards for effective monitoring of MFIs, their compliance with regulations and Code of Conduct in the best interest of clients. Sa-Dhan is committed to develop the Indian microfinance sector on professional, healthy and ethical lines. As an SRO Sa-Dhan regularly makes Field Assessment Visits, has developed a Self-Assessment and Monitoring Tool, Analyses risk at Institutional level, regularly conducts in-depth study on status of microfinance at the district level, created Credit Assessment Framework.

Compliance Officer: Mr Somesh Dayal

The Compliance officer is responsible for ensuring that all SRO processes and procedures comply with the standards and regulations and liaising with RBI.

Grievance Redressal Officer (GRO)

In case of any complaints /grievances are not resolved satisfactorily or responded to by the MFIs, the client may escalate to GRO to get it resolved. The SRO function is governed by two committees. The committees provide direction and guidance to the SRO team to carry out the SRO function effectively.

Registration fees can be paid through Demand Draft / Online Payment. International payments can only be made through wire transfer.
Please be noted that the fee doesn’t cover accommodation.
REFUND POLICY: Requests received in writing before 15th October 2023 will be considered for cancellation. A 10% handling charge would be deducted from the registration fee and the balance refunded by cheque. No amount will be refunded after.
