Sa-Dhan,
a national level association of Community Development
Finance Institutions in India, with its mission is to
build the field of community development finance in
India to help its member and associate institutions to
better serve low-income households, particularly
women, in both rural and urban India, in their quest
for establishing stable livelihoods and improving
quality of life. Sa-Dhan has its presence in 19 states
covering all the regions with 191 members.
The Association currently works with three thematic
groups: Policy, Standards and Capacity Building.
The Policy team is engaged in its efforts to provide
facilitative legal and regulatory environment
for microfinance services in India. The Capacity
Building Team is engaged in building capacities
of organisations engaged in the microfinance sector.
The Standards Team is working towards Building
Transparency through reporting and Building
Financial and Non Financial Standards within the
microfinance sector. In order to carry out its
activities Sa-Dhan requires dedicated persons for the
following positions:
(a) Program Executive – Policy (2), New Delhi
The person will be required to support the work of
Policy team that is engaged in its efforts to provide
facilitative legal and regulatory environment for
microfinance services in India. The candidate would be
required to involve in the issues related to different
operating models, legal forms prevalent in the
microfinance sector and identify and support advocacy
work on these.
Essential Qualifications:
The candidate should have a Post graduate degree
in any subject. Preference would be given to
candidates possessing Masters in Social Work/Social
Sciences/ Economics and/ or MBA(Finance) with
quantitative interests
Experience
The candidate must possess minimum 3 to 4
years of work experience preferably in the development
sector. Candidates possessing experience in working
with the SHGs/ SHGs federations on microfinance and
livelihoods would be preferred [M.Phil/ Ph.D would be
considered as work experience]
Desirable Skills/ experience:
The
candidate should possess excellent analytical writing
and presentation skills and ability to identify issues
and challenges confronting the microfinance sector in
India.
(b)
Program Executive – Capacity Building (3), New Delhi
The person
will be required to support the work of the Capacity
Building team that is engaged in building capacities
of stakeholders in the microfinance sector. This will
require the candidate to involve with the issues
related to microfinance and livelihoods, apart from
engaging with other important stakeholders including
members of Sa-Dhan at both national and regional
level.
Essential Qualifications:
The candidate should have a Post graduate
degree in any subject. Preference would be given to
candidates possessing Masters in Social Work/Social
Sciences/ or MBA(Finance)
Experience
The candidate must possess minimum 3 to 4
years of work experience preferably in the development
sector. Candidates possessing experience in
Microfinance and livelihoods with experience of
implementation of programme and /or of resource agency

as work experience]
Desirable Skills/ experience:
The candidate should possess excellent

(c)
Program Executive – Standards (1), New Delhi
The person
will be required to support to the data management
work of the Standards Team in Sa-Dhan. The work would
involve organizing existing and future data, data flow
between head office in New Delhi and regional office
in Hyderabad, bringing out updated information or SHGs/
MFIs data. It would also involve collecting data from
sources like RBI, NABARD and members of Sa-Dhan and
organizing the same. The candidate would be required
to contribute to the sector report of Sa-Dhan
Essential Qualifications:
The candidate should have a Post graduate degree in
Economics/ Statistics or MBA in Finance. Understanding
of balance sheets of financial institutions is
desirable.
Experience
The candidate must possess minimum 3 to 4 years of
work experience preferably in the development sector.
Candidates possessing experience in Microfinance and
experience of implementation of programme and /or of
resource agency will be preferred. [M.Phil/ Ph.D would
be considered as work experience]

Understanding of IT design for internal database and
IT initiatives would be an added advantage for the

(d)
Program Executive – Standards (2), Hyderabad
The person
will be required to support to the data analysis and
report writing work for Sector reports produced by the
Standards Team in Sa-Dhan. The person will also be
required to engage on the queries regarding the data,
web based reporting and seek feedback from members.
The person would work on collection of data on
governance, SHG tool and financial performance
standards from microfinance providers. The candidate
would liaison with the local stakeholders.
Essential Qualifications:
The candidate should have a Post graduate
degree in Economics/ Statistics or MBA in Finance.
Understanding of balance sheets of financial
institutions is desirable.
Experience
The candidate must possess minimum 3 to 4
years of work experience preferably in the development
sector. Candidates possessing experience in
Microfinance and experience of implementation of
programme and /or of resource agency will be
preferred. [M.Phil/ Ph.D would be considered as work

(e)
Program Executive - Communications (1), New Delhi
The person will be required to support the
communication strategy of the Association. The person
will be responsible for carrying out the communication
strategy in terms of newsletters, media campaigns etc.
The person will also support the media/ PR activities
during Sa-Dhan events.
Essential Qualifications:

Degree in
English/ Economics/ Law/ Sociology, Journalism, Mass
Communications with minimum one to two years
professional experience in the corporate
communication, PR in development sector
Desirable Skills/ experience: [M.Phil/ Ph.D would be

(f) Team
Leader –IT
The
candidate would
i. Own and manage Sa-dhan’s IT initiatives, both
internal and for members.
ii. Build industry level solutions and facilitations
services
iii. Develop and implement internal IT projects for
Sa-Dhan
Experience
Minimum 3 to 5 years of work experience in
implementing software applications for MFIs/Financial
institutions. He/she should be qualified in software
design, project life-cycle management and consulting.
Desirable Skills
The candidate should possess excellent
analytical writing and presentation skills and ability
to identify issues and challenges confronting the
microfinance sector in India.
(g) (c)
Intern- IT and MF processes
A graduate
and would assist the Team leader - IT in software
design and project management.
Experience
He/she should be qualified in software design,
project life-cycle management and consulting.
